Yay! You’re going to the happiest place on earth, Disney! Most of my childhood was spent in Orlando, Florida, so Walt Disney World is definitely one of my favorite places.

We went last year for our anniversary, and had a blast. I learned that planning a day trip to the theme parks, and planning a Disney vacation, are two completely different things.

Fun Disney Shirt

I love this shirt. It is soft and comfy, and is available in either gray or red. I bought an extra large for a little more flowiness.

Living in the mountains, you see the “Mountains are calling and I must go” phrase everywhere. That’s probably why I thought it was hilarious to see the phrase referring to Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain.

Small, Stylish Backpack

When I realized I could bring in my own snacks and drinks to Disney, I knew I needed a small backpack. This backpack is one of my favorites I have ever owned.

And it is under $25.

There is plenty of room for snacks, water bottles, hand sanitizer, a poncho, a camera, a first-aid kit and more. There is even a hidden compartment where you can keep your wallet.

I ordered the “black” backpack, even though it is more of a gray in real life. I still use this backpack when I need more than a purse, like if I am going on a road trip or a day hike.

Reusable Water Bottle

Bring a reusable water bottle to Disney so you can be sustainable and also save a lot of money. It is important to stay hydrated when you are at a Disney park, since you will be doing a lot of walking and be in the sun.

Rain Poncho

Ponchos are a must if you are heading to a Disney theme park. In Florida, a stray sun shower any time of year or an afternoon downpour during summer is to be expected.

Even if the weather forecast is clear, you might want to have a poncho for the water rides, like Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom, or the Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom. That way you won’t have to spend half of your day soaking wet.

Wet Wipes

Wet wipes are a must when visiting a Disney park. They will help you feel fresh throughout the day, especially when you are surrounded by so many people.

They are great to have, especially if you find yourself in a long ride line or find yourself covered in ice cream.
